23/08/2026Al Diyafah High School, Dubai began a new chapter of the Diyafah Story in 1982, which offers a purpose-built facility with fully integrated technology throughout the school. In 2020, Diyafah completed its expansion to a Secondary School with state-of-the-art facilities.

Beyond the development of skills, our facilities support students in their goals of leading healthy and active lifestyles. At Diyafah, we focus on providing holistic education, allowing our students to explore their talents, develop their skills and enhance their abilities, whilst enjoying an active, healthy lifestyle; sport and physical education play a central role in our curriculum.
Each of our students enjoy varied physical activities and to facilitate the uniqueness of every child in 2020 DIS expanded its facilities to include: Air-conditioned, multi-purpose sports hall (Winnie D'Cunha Hall), 25-metre, temperature controlled indoor pool, High quality surface, outdoor tennis, and basketball courts, Astroturf multi-use games area

The extensive, air-conditioned, multi-purpose sports hall is the main indoor teaching space for the Physical Education Department. It is marked out and fitted with all the equipment needed to teach a vast array of indoor sports. We also have added separate boys and girls changing room, adjacent to the hall. The multi-purpose hall will also house an impressive stage with large scale digital projection facilities which means it can also easily convert into an auditorium for assemblies, performances and other large-scale events.
Our fully equipped Physics, Chemistry, and Biology laboratories provide students with enriching hands-on experiences that foster scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and investigative skills, enabling them to explore and understand the world through practical learning.
Diyafah ICT provision is embedded within all teaching and learning, with Intelligent Panels in all classrooms and ICT laboratories. These excellent resources are all aimed at enhancing the quality of teaching and learning within the school. Diyafah encourages BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) for students to use on our Microsoft School Network.
The School has a large purpose-built media room for the teaching of the National Curriculum as well as GCSE and A Level Music. In addition, there is a fully equipped recording studio where individual students can practise instruments or sing without disturbing ongoing sessions. The School has a wide range of wind, string and percussion instruments as well as keyboards and other Music Technology equipment.
Art and Drama is celebrated at Diyafah, where it is considered not only the mastery of skill and creative expression but also a form of communication and creative expression of ideas. Students learn to use this form of language together with developing the skills and techniques to utilise various medium. Students are encouraged to explore their talents within painting, drawing, printmaking, photography and acting allowing them to experience a wide range of techniques and applications.

Two fully equipped clinics with a doctor and three resident nurses are on campus. To ensure the proper growth and health of the students, periodic medical check-ups are conducted. First-aid facilities are always available to the students, and if additional medical aid is required, emergency transport is available to rush the student to the hospital

Our KS1 children had a wonderful time exploring music with tambourines, shakers, and maracas. As they created rhythms and followed beats together, they developed creativity, listening skills, coordination, and teamwork. A fun and engaging experience that boosted confidence, self-expression, and a love for music!

Congratulations to Zion Toni Sarkar of Year 9 for an incredible performance at the Dubai School Games Jiu-Jitsu Championship! Zion showcased outstanding skill, grit, and determination, earning a well-deserved Silver Medal in the U16 Boys 73kg White Belt category. We are proud of you, Zion!
