Health & Wellbeing at Al Diyafah High School LLC
The health and wellbeing of every student at Al Diyafah High School LLC in Dubai is placed at the centre of everything we do. Our whole-school approach to wellbeing supports students academically, socially, emotionally and physically so that each young person feels safe, valued and ready to learn.
At Al Diyafah High School in Dubai, the health and wellbeing of our students is an important part of creating an environment in which they can learn, grow and thrive.
Supporting Social & Emotional Development
Developing social and emotional skills helps students understand themselves and interact positively with the people around them.
Students are supported in developing their ability to:
- Recognise and understand feelings and emotions
- Communicate their concerns appropriately
- Build positive relationships
- Develop confidence and self-awareness
- Respond constructively to challenges
- Seek support when they need it
Our wider school community plays an important role in recognising when a student may need additional support and helping ensure that appropriate guidance is available.
Student Safety & Safeguarding
Safeguarding is an essential part of providing a secure learning environment.
Staff who work with and interact with students are expected to understand the school's safeguarding procedures and their responsibilities for supporting student safety.
Staff are encouraged to remain attentive to changes in students' behaviour, communication, interactions, and overall well-being so that concerns can be identified and addressed appropriately.
Clear safeguarding procedures provide guidance on the steps to follow when there are concerns about a student's welfare or safety.
Health & Medical Support
Supporting students' physical health is another important part of our approach to wellbeing.
The school's medical facilities provide students with appropriate support during the school day, including assistance with health concerns, minor injuries and individual medical needs.
The school medical team works with relevant staff and families, where appropriate, to help ensure that students' health needs are understood and supported during their time at school.
Our nurse is available throughout the school day, Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 3:30 pm, for you to discuss any concerns or health issues regarding your child.
A private consultation can be arranged at a mutually convenient time by calling the clinic on 042545565 Ext.

Through communication, awareness and appropriate support, we aim to create an environment where students know that there are people they can approach when they need guidance or assistance.
